Experienced senior manager with 30+ years in a multitude of roles in aviation, particularly regulation. Broad knowledge in the safety and risk management area with focus on the aviation sector. Led multi-disciplinary teams of up to 300 people, located in 14 offices around Australia with budget ~$50m.

Strong organisational and management skills. Significant capabilities in the administration and regulation of air traffic management (ATM), airspace, aerodromes and communications, navigation and surveillance (CNS) systems. In-depth understanding of Australian regulations and ICAO standards for these topic areas and more generally in relation to the breadth of aviation operations.

Recognised for ability to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, and at all levels of business and government. Experience in Australia, UK, USA, Lao PDR, Cambodia, Finland, Ghana, Mauritius, West Indies, Canada, China, Eurocontrol, Sweden and Turkey. Represented Australia at international assemblies/committees.

Early career as air traffic controller and commercial pilot.

Since retirement, apart from all the usual chores of a homemaker, worked as volunteer for various organisations (see Volunteering page), wrote and published a crime novel, opened a YouTube channel and started construction of a Sling 2 kit aircraft.
